Alice Hunter passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Gladewater, Texas, at the age of 57. Born on July 28, 1967, in Kewanee, Illinois, Alice's vibrant spirit and loving nature left a mark on all who knew her.
Alice was a mother to Christina and Benjamin Womack, Monica and Jonathan Grimsley, and Brent Hunter. Her grandchildren, Junior, Joshua, Chloe, Tanner, Jordan, and Alexis, were the light of her life. A devoted daughter to Louise Higginbotham and the late Ernest Higginbotham, Alice inherited a strength and resilience that she carried with her throughout her life. Her sisters Anita Hegeman (Steve), Pauline Perino (Pete), and stepsister Pam Adkinson (Craig) and late stepsister Vicky Dudley (Doug) and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews will remember her as a guiding force of love.
Alice's life was one of adventure and spontaneity like taking last minute trips with her kids to Six Flags. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was a spirited game of cards, a refreshing swim on a hot summer day, or preparing a beloved family recipe. Alice could often be found casting a line on a lake, fishing rod in hand. Alice's fur baby, Biscuit, was her constant companion and a source of endless affection.
Alice Hunter's memory will be cherished, and her life celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but the stories, love, and laughter she shared will continue to resonate with us all. Rest in peace, Alice, knowing that your love lives on.
