Allen Hood, Jr.

Allen Gene Hood, Jr., was born May 14, 1965, the fourth child to the late Allen Gene Hood, Sr., and Irene Willet Hale Hood in Dallas, Texas.

He attended Dallas Independent School District public schools. His work career for many years consisted of being the Maintenance Director.

He was a Baptist and accepted Christ at an early age. He had a joyful heart for giving and helping others no matter the task, and loved spending time with family and friends playing dominoes, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and attending family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, grandparents, sister, Faydra Johnson, aunts, and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a very special friend, Norma Sims of Kilgore, Texas; son, Allen Gene Hood III of Tatum, Texas; sister, Mittie Ann Martin (Lloyd Bush) of Houston, Texas; brother Lawanda Hood (Jennifer) of Houston, Texas; nephews, Calvin Hood, Donald Ray Martin II, and Eric Hood; several nieces;  two aunts; and a host of cousins and extended sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
