Alvin Ray Boyd

Alvin Ray Boyd was born on April 28, 1946, in Longview, Texas, to the parents of Henry and Luvenia Boyd. He peacefully passed away on June 9, 2026. A devoted member of Union Church of Christ prior to relocating to the Dallas area, Alvin began his career in entrepreneurship shortly after marrying Carolyn Boyd, with whom he raised four children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luvenia and Henry, as well as his sisters Dorothy, Mary, Lois, Linda, and Sharon and brother Henry Jr..

Alvin is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carolyn; their two sons, Raymond Bradley and Alvin Boyd Jr.; two daughters, Vickie Boyd and Jennifer Boyd; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Johnson (Liz) and Donny Johnson; one sister, JoAnn Davis; his aunt Bessie; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish his memory.
