Arlene Compton-Traylor was born on February 16, 1933, in Hooks, Texas, to Mary Lee Cheathem-Compton and Marshall Compton, as a fraternal twin. She received her education in Dekalb, Texas.
Arlene was married to Jackie Gene Traylor for 57 memorial years until his passing on November 9, 2007. She was a dedicated founding member of the Heavenly Lighthouse Sanctuary Church of Jesus Christ, where she served faithfully for over 70 years, holding various positions and always stepping in wherever needed. Arlene was known as a passionate prayer warrior within her church community.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sons, Roy Gene Traylor and Kenneth Traylor. Arlene is survived by her four daughters: her cherished Jo Guthrie of Frankston, TX, where she lived until her passing, Mary Ann Traylor of Texarkana, Tx, Ruby Nero, of New Boston, TX, and Linda Perkins of Stockton, CA. She is also remembered by her two sons: Herbert Bohannon of Mesquite, TX, and Bobbie Traylor of Dekalb, TX, along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, special grandchildren; Kukie Boutte' and Aeric Traylor, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
