Arthur James ‘Bye’ Crowder Sr. was born March 18, 1942 in Oak Grove, Tx (Titus County), to the parentage of Clyde Crowder Sr. and Flora Crowder. He graduated from J.J. Rhoads High School in 1962.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Marie Ann Evans of Cason, Tx on July 6, 1968 (55 years), and to this union they raised four wonderful children; Arthur Jr., Maria, Yolanda, and Andre.
He was employed at the Coca-Cola Company, Lone Star Steel and Pilgrim’s Pride for several years. He confessed Christ at a very young age at Shady Grove Christian Church where he was a loyal deacon for many years. He faithfully attended church services until his health failed. He loved serving the Lord, fishing, gardening, working on cars, listening to gospel music, visiting and spending time with family and friends. He had a sharp mind and memory as he would always call his children and sing Happy Birthday to them on their birthday.
He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Crowder Sr., his mother; Flora Crowder, brothers; Abraham Crowder, Clyde Crowder Jr., Luie B. Crowder, Arthur B. Crowder, Jessie James Crowder, Harry Crowder, sisters; Vivian Spraglin, Arvella Johnson, Lillie Marie Gholston, Ruby Faye Everette, half sister; Mae Lou Grant, grand-daughters; Jamisha Crowder and KeAnna Crowder.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife; Marie Ann Evans-Crowder, sons; Arthur James Crowder Jr. of Arlington, Tx and Andre (Debora) Crowder of Tyler, Tx, daughters Maria Crowder of Dallas, Tx and Yolanda Watson of Tyler, Tx, sister; Lillie Mae Rogers of San Antonio, Tx, brother; Willie Frank Crowder of Dallas, Tx, grandchildren; Trey, Cameron, Latamara, Jessica and Shakia whom he took in and raised as his own, Ariel, Bresha, BreAnna, Aliyah, Jalen, Janai, AJ, Charna, De’unta, Chelsea and Sydney, great-grandchildren; Jakeevian, KeAnna, Gabriella, Kyson, Kayden, Jakai, Jermal, Leyloni, Jalil, Jacey, Symone, Yvette, Brooklyn, Khaza, Josiah and a host of family, friends, nieces and nephews.
