Byron Thomas ‘Beaver’ was born in Dallas, Texas, was the son of Virginia D. Thomas and Robert E. Jones. He received his education from Daingerfield Lone Star ISD and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason, Texas.
Beaver was deeply loved by his family and friends. Known for his zest for life and his unwavering kindness, Beaver had a special way of explaining biblical scriptures that resonated with everyone. He had a knack for making people laugh and was always the life of the party.
Beaver's adventurous spirit led to countless unforgettable moments that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Thomas Boyd, his father, Robert E Jones, his stepfather, O D Boyd, and his sisters, Janet Lee and Cecelia Bates.
He leaves to cherish three brothers, David Thomas of Pollok, Texas, Gary (Tina) Jones of Longview, Texas, and Christopher (Abigail) Jones of Omaha, Texas, as well as his two sisters, Sheran (Butch) James of Daingerfield, Texas, and Kim (Eric) Strickland of Texarkana, two aunts, Sally Hill of Omaha, Texas and Alice Traylor Longview, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Beaver will always be remembered for his infectious laughter, his love for his family, and his ability to bring joy to any gathering.
