Chamequial D. Mason, born on October 26, 1978, to the late Charlie Douglas Jr. and Shirley Jean Mason, left a lasting impact on everyone she met. A proud graduate of Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, later she worked at Pilgrim’s Pride. Her vibrant spirit and love for life made her the life of every family gathering—her family was her greatest treasure.
In her younger years, Chamequial found solace at New Hope Baptist Church, later embracing the uplifting sermons at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she frequently expressed her gratitude and joy through heartfelt praise.
Chamequial is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents,Edward T. (Fie) and Lena Jean Mason and Charlie Douglas, Sr. and Josie Mae Hendrix; Step Grandfather; Herman Frazier; Brother: Delvius S. Martin; Sister: Kimberly Ann Garrett; Nephews: TyJaylon Fluellen and Delvius TyJaylon Martin; Aunts/Uncles: Jeanie Wigeton, Janet (Pokey) Mason, Mary Lou Mason, Helen Flemming, Mary Douglas, Lena Mae Everrett, Winnie Jewel Everett, Charlie Mae Douglas, J. T. Shaw, Sammie Mike, James Frank, and Joe Lynn.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children, Celeste Lafayette (Daries Allen) and Bigboy Lynn; Grandchildren: Lessyuoni Lafayette, Zy”Liece Lafayette, Khyzier Lafayette, Saige Lynn, and Kade Lynn; Sisters/Brothers:Deltina Mason (Anthony Johnson), Tameca (Chris) Brown, Latonya Mason, Deanna Brown, Charles Ray Douglas, Christopher S. (Linda) Douglas, Charlie Douglas, III, Kyle (Kenda) Lewis, Richard C. Pruitt, Alla A. Douglas, and Shaquille Douglas; Stepparents: Don (Lisa) Martin; Aunts/Uncles: Toney R. Mason, Darryl Mason, Sr., Janice Lee, Vernetta Castleberry, Carolyn Mason, Linda Smith, Ethel Stern, Julie (Weldon) Jefferson, Rose Mary Shaw, and John L. Douglas; a host of nieces and nephews, but two nephews whom she shared a home with, and they became her taxi driver, Dekevione Anderson and Dekendric Anderson, and a vast number of cousins whom she viewed as her sisters/brothers. who often helped her get around; and countless cousins who she considered siblings. Additionally, she will be remembered fondly by numerous close friends.
Chamequial's vibrant personality and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
