Chris Devon Williams was born on November 4, 1958, in Upshur County to Rossie and Johnnie Pearl Hickman-Williams. He was the eldest among his siblings, with three younger brothers born into the family. Growing up, Chris attended school at Harrison County Independent School District, where he displayed exceptional skills in football and track & field. Following his high school years, he pursued his education further at Job Corp in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he earned his GED. Subsequently, he dedicated eight years of service to the United States Marine Corps. From an early
age, Chris found solace in his faith, becoming a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and lending his voice to the Cedar Grove Male Chorus.
Chris had a profound love for his family, particularly his siblings, whom he cherished dearly. He had a soft spot for dogs and once cared for a large number of puppies, relishing every moment spent with them. In his leisure time, he found joy in tending to his lawn and maintaining his outdoor space. For 16 years, Chris worked diligently for The Department of Veteran Affairs in West Los Angeles, CA, and Overton Brooks in Shreveport, Louisiana, until he had to retire due to health reasons.
