Cynthia Ann Evans

Cynthia Evans, age 56, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born August 15, 1967, in Tatum, Texas to Tommy Lee Evans and Lurline Coleman. She graduated from Paul Pewitt High School in 1986 and was a member of both Omaha Church of Christ and Mount Mitchell Church of Christ. 

Cynthia worked for Paul Pewitt Elementary School in the school cafeteria until retiring in 2021. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and taking care of others. 

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Cynthia had a huge heart and was very compassionate, giving and hospitable. She always put others before herself and her infectious sense of humor positively impacted anyone that she encountered. 

Cynthia is preceded in death by her mother; Lurline Coleman, sister; Gloria Faye Evans, brother; Jerry Evans, nephew; DeAdrian Webster and niece; Latasha Evans. 

Her Heavenly transition leaves earthly memories to her three children; Chris Evans (Tierra), Devonta Williams, and Mikayla Williams, her father; Tommie Lee Evans (Linda) and her two grandchildren; Jaxon Evans and Brooklyn Williams. She is also survived by her siblings; David Evans, Margaret Webster (Kennie), Tina Thomas, Johnny Evans, Bridget Thomas (Mike) and Tyra Evans. She also leaves behind her best friends; Lee Anna Collins and Malissa Flemmings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close family members and friends. 

We give all praise, honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! May our beautiful mother, Mimi, aunt, cousin and friend rest in peace.
