The Life Celebration of Derrick O’Keith Holland Jr.

Derrick O’Keith Holland Jr. entered the world on April 30, 1991, in Tyler, Texas, born to Derrick O'Keith Holland Sr. and LaCetia Winston.

He completed his education at Evolution Academy Charter School in 2009 and furthered his studies at Dallas Barber College. Derrick was a devoted father to three children: Derrick O. Holland III, Dillionn Dejaun Holland, and Da'Niile Kaye Holland, as well as his late son, David O'Brien Holland.

Derrick was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mammie L. Holland, his uncle Al Shawn Bradford, and his son David O'Brien Holland.

Known for his enormous heart and uplifting spirit, Derrick had a remarkable ability to brighten any room and bring smiles to those around him. A family man at heart, he trusted that every challenge he encountered was part of God's greater plan. His unwavering faith led him to pray regularly and seek guidance from God. Derrick had a passion for cars, enjoyed being handy, loved listening to classic tunes, and relished home-cooked meals. With a profound understanding of life, he was a deep thinker filled with wisdom. Fearless, confident, and intelligent, Derrick cherished the authentic love of his family and friends, always prepared to protect those he cared for.

He leaves behind a caring family that includes his father, Derrick O'Keith Holland Sr. (Robin), mother LaCetia Winston (Craig), grandparents Leon Bradford Sr. (Kathie) and Levonne Bradford Hamidou (Tadjou), sister Chelsea Price, and brothers Demarcus D. Holland (Michele), Donte Winston, Devante Winston, Deonte Winston, Desmond Holland, and Devin Holland, as well as Craig D. Winston. He is also survived by his nephews Legend Winston and Jyi Lomax, and his niece La'Niya Winston.
