Derrick Dion Holt Jr.

Today we come together with hearts that are deeply broken to remember our son, Derrick Dion Holt Jr. At just 15 years old, he was taken from us far too soon, and our lives will never be the same.

Derrick was the beloved son of Derrick and Yeraldi Holt, and being his parents was one of the greatest gifts of our lives. He was a brother to Desiree, Leticia, Antonio, Isabel, Adam, Luciano, Evah, Elijah, and Adan, and his presence will forever live on in their hearts—in memories, laughter, and the bond they will always share.

He was a cherished grandson of Luciano and Maria Betancourt, and Beverly Hitesman, and a deeply loved nephew and cousin to Juan and family, Floriberto and family, Yesica and family, Juana and family, and Natalie and family. Derrick was also an amazing uncle to Jayden, Israel, Alayna, Yvette, Ruben, Ayden, and Karmah, and he loved them dearly.Derrick was an amazing friend—kind, caring, and loyal. He touched many lives, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him.Though his life was short, his impact was great. Derrick mattered. He was loved deeply, and he will never be forgotten.

We find comfort in knowing that Derrick is now joining his sister Isabel and his grandmother Beverly in heaven, reunited in peace and love.We don’t understand why this happened, but we do know that love does not end here. Derrick will live on in our hearts, in our family, and in the love we continue to share with one another.

We will carry him with us—always.
