Donald Ray Fisher, affectionately known as Quilla, was born on December 31, 1957, in Daingerfield, Texas, to the late Willie Mae Jones and Ezell Fisher. He is survived by his brothers, Anthony Fisher and Aubrey Jones.
Growing up in Daingerfield, Donald received his education at Daingerfield High School. He dedicated many years of his life to working at Pilgrim Pride until health concerns led him to step back.
Donald embraced his faith and was baptized under the guidance of Bishop C.D. Mitchell at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. As a devoted member, he took joy in serving other churches and glorifying God.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Anthony and Aubrey Fisher.
He is remembered fondly by his brother, Mikel Fisher, of Daingerfield, Texas, and his sister, Jennifer (Terrance) Tyler, of Dallas, Texas, Texas, as well as his aunts, Vera Smith and Sheila Hughes, of Daingerfield, Texas, and his uncle, Melvin (Barbara) Jones, of Dallas, Texas, he also leaves behind his nieces and nephew who he loved like his children; Markisha (Kee Kee), Demontria (Pee Wee), Demetria (Bunz), Markevion (Mannie), Quiandrea (Muff), Tittianna (Nuk), a special cousin, Samantha Hood-Wallace and special friend Shun Walker and God-Son Handsum Jones of Dallas,Tx and God-Daughter Honei Walker of Pittsburg, Tx, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.
Donald’s vibrant personality and warm spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
