Gladys Faye (Hamilton) Jeffery

Her Birth and Education

Gladys Faye Hamilton -  Jeffery, was born Saturday, September 8, 1945 to the parentage of Henry Hamilton Sr. and Alma (Gladys) Hamilton in Kilgore, Texas. She received her early education at Kilgore Colored High School, later relocating to California, she finished her education at John C. Fremont High School of Los Angeles, California. After moving back to Texas, she was gainfully employed at Sun Oil Company, Gregg County Juvenile Probation Department, and Sabine Valley.

Gladys was united in holy matrimony to Laffeyette Jeffery and to their union she became a loving devoted mother of five children: Terri Ann Jennings, Yolanda Jones, Laffeyette Jeffery, Donald Hamilton and Davin Jeffery.  God blessed her to witness the expansion of her legacy to include grandchildren: Tiffany Jennings, Jennifer Cash, Amanda Dawson, Shaquindalon Alexander, Cherrelle Williams, Shadarian Brown, Sharie White, Chazmine Jeffery, Chastin Jeffery, Chase Jeffrey, Jaden Jeffrey, Jatavia Jackson, Davina Jeffery, Davin C. Jeffery, Marcus Campbell, Molique Hamilton and Genesis Hamilton, and great grandchildren.

Her Legacy

Gladys was preceded in death, by her husband Lafeyette Jeffery, her parents, Henry Hamilton Sr. and Alma (Gladys) Hamilton five brothers, Jesse Andrews Hamilton, Donald Ralph Hamilton, Jack Elder Hamilton, Bobby Ray Hamilton, and Jimmy Hamilton, and one sister Judy K. Sheffield.

She leaves a legacy of precious memories to cherished by her five loving children, Terry and Jennings of Moreno Valley California, Yolanda Jones (Clarence) of Longview Texas, Laffeyett Jeffery (Cenekia) of Hallsville Texas Donald Hamilton of Jacksonville, Florida, Davin Jeffery of Gladewater Texas and Cynthia England of Dallas Texas. Two sisters Mildred Liggins of Longview Texas, and Willa Sue Johnson of Tomball, Texas as a sister Joyce and Watts of Houston Texas.  Two brothers, Henry Hamilton (Josephine) of Tyler, Texas and John C. Taylor (Karmina) Rosemont, California. Seventeen grand children, Tiffany Jennings, Jennifer Cash (Nigel Jr.), Amanda Dawson, Shaquindalon Alexander (Ruben), Cherrelle Williams (Reginal), Shadarian Brown, Sharie White (Teric), Chazmine Jeffery, Chastin Jeffery, Chase Jeffrey, Jaden Jeffrey, Jatavia Jackson, Davina Jeffery, Davin C Jeffery, Marcus Campbell, Molique Hamilton (Yeshika), and Genesis Hamilton, Twenty-Two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
