James Milton Johnson was born on March 21, 1957 to the parentage of James Edward Johnson and Lillie Pearl Anderson.
Sunday morning, February 5, 2023, James Milton passed away peacefully with strength and courage, surrounded by his family, while receiving prayer for his soul. For death was just one step in his soul’s journey to the universe.
He was a 1976 graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Prairie View A&M University where he excelled in sports. He previously worked for T & N Warehouse in Lone Star Texas. He married his high school sweetheart and to this union two sons were born. One of his most cherished accomplishments was being “Paw Paw”.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Edward “Pokie” Johnson and sister, Marsha Nell Adley.
Left to cherish his memories is his devoted wife Era Elaine Johnson, two sons; Antonio (Kirstin) Johnson and Brandon (April) Johnson, one daughter; Brittany Collins, 12 grandchildren; Peyton, Jacob, Jazmine, Kaitlyn, Ariah, Dayne, JKainan, J’La, Braylen, Audyssey, Benji and Khylai, a brother; Rev. Travis (Anita) Bowie, sister; Rita (Joseph) Simmons and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins other relatives and friends.
