Janice ‘Misty Blue’ Chandler was born on April 5, 1947, to Yet
(Johnnie) Robertson and Elnora Smith. She was the youngest of 9 children.
She received her early education in Mount Vernon, Texas.
Janice met and married the love of her life and best friend on July 24, 1964, and to this union, two daughters were born. She raised four other children as her own.
Janice worked several years for Terry Haven Nursing Home, also thirty years at Mission Manor Nursing Home and she retired as a Home Health provider.
Janice dedicated her life and commitment to Christ at an early age and was a praying child of God and attended Denton Baptist Church until her passing on December 13, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Elnora
Robertson, daughter; Tonnina Lachelle, six
sisters; Dorothy, Mildred, Mattie Thelma, Doris, Barbara, and Glenda, and two brothers Willie and Marvin.
Janice had a very generous spirit and met no strangers and was loved by many. She opened her heart and home to those in need and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
Janice’s memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband; Randolph Chandler, her children; Tina Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, Antonio Lee, Jessica Rogers, Eddie Ray Jackson, and Tyasia Rogers all of Mount Vernon, Texas, one brother; Johnny (Ethelyn) Robertson, three sister-in-laws; Doris Smith, Lula Chandler and Christie Roberson, three grandchildren- Tazree Evans aka Munch, Za’riyah Jackson aka Juicy and McKinley Lindley aka Toot, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend
