Joe Melvin Roney Jr. was born to the parentage of the late Joe M. Roney Sr. and Imajean Roney in Daingerfield, Texas.
Joe attended school in Cason, Texas. For several years he worked at S&S Automotive, including BFP in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He was known for his great carpentry work. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and had great passion for classic cars and cooking.
He was preceded by his parents, two brothers; Charles and Glenn Roney and grandparents; William Skip and Viola Roney.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Willie Joyce Roney, two step sons; E.D. Smith and Nathaniel Banks, two brothers; James Roney of Dallas, Tx and Billy Roney of Houston, TX, one sister; Gloria Roney of Daingerfield, TX, two grandsons; Eric and Edrin Smith, seven great grand children, a special nephew; Remington Madlock of Bossier, City and a host of relatives and friends.
He also leaves to mourn his very special friend and life partner Sonja Banks, who stayed by his side until The Lord called him home, and Sonja’s family whom he was a very special part of.
