Kenneth Dean Woods, Jr., affectionately known as Jr., Bigg Woods, Chevy Boy along with other childhood nicknames. Kenneth graced this world with his vibrant spirit, unwavering kindness, and love from January 1, 1978, until his departure on April 7, 2026, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. Born in Athens, Texas, to Kenneth Wood and Patricia Hambrick Woods, Kenneth's short-lived journey through life was marked by compassion and extraordinary love for others.
He received his educated at Brownsboro High School, with graduating class of 1995. Kenneth enjoyed watching Pastor Corey James at Liberty Christian Center International every Sunday, however, he recently found a spiritual home at Antioch Baptist Church in Chandler, Texas. Kenneth was employed by Strapping Technologies in Lindale, Texas, for 20 years until falling ill with COVID-19 in 2020.
Chevy Boy had a love and talent for taking cars from nothing and turning them into something everyone desired. His passion for restoring cars and trucks, as well as the incredible love he had for his community and friends, inspired him to create the truck club 903 Chevy Riders. With his unique ability to connect with all types of people through his kindness, encouragement, and guidance, his sweet and gentle demeanor, created a haven for all who crossed his path.
His legacy continues through his wife, Alecia Woods of Chandler, and three beloved children: Kendra Woods Blaylock (John) of Chandler, Kenneth III (Jaspen) of Chandler, and KenToya Woods of Oklahoma. He is also survived by two brothers, Demetric Woods (Angela) and Christopher Woods (Erica), both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Kenneth’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his precious three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Wood, Sr. and Patricia Hambrick Woods. Kenneth will be missed but fondly remembered. The love and support of family, friends, and the community have been a source of comfort during this time of sorrow, celebrating the spirit of an extraordinary man who radiated love and joy.
