LaFaye Eubanks Obituary

LaFaye Gholston Eubanks, affectionately known as Miss Faye, was born on May 20, 1947, in Cason, Texas, to the late Loyd Gholston and Lessie B. Smith Gholston.

An esteemed alumna of Rhodes High School in Dangerfield, Texas, Miss Faye went on to further her education at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. She was a devoted member of Shady Grove Christian Church in Cason, where her love for people and unwavering dedication to her faith radiated brightly.

Miss Faye was previously married to John Arthur Eubanks, and through this union, she welcomed her only child, Tandra Swanya Eubanks Bryson.

Throughout her life, LaFaye worked with distinction at several esteemed organizations, including Golden Fleece, Pilgrim Pride, Titus Regional Medical Center, Dangerfield Independent School District, and Jarvis Christian College where she was the devoted dorm mother for many years. Her warm spirit and genuine friendliness endeared her to many; she never met a stranger and remembered the names of all she encountered.

Miss Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Lessie B. Gholston, her grandparents B.W. Smith and Captoria Boyd Smith, Addie Bell Gholston, and her brothers, Grover and Lanny Gholston.

Her cherished memory lives on through her daughter, Tandra Swanya Bryson, and son-in-law, Kelvin Bryson; her beloved granddaughters, Anastashia Eubanks and Elisa Bryson (Jasmine); two great-grandchildren, Blake and Journei; five brothers, Billy Earl Gholston, Tommy Gholston, William Lloyd Gholston, Kelvin Gholston, and Jerrie Keith Gholston; and one special adopted sister, Fay Dean Chance.

Miss Faye’s love extends to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Special gratitude is extended to her niece, Rashinique Gholston, who stood by her side through thick and thin.

Miss LaFaye Gholston Eubanks leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an indelible impact on the hearts of all who knew her.
