Lessie B (Johsnon) Ventry

Lessie B. Ventry was born on August 10, 1937, in Daingerfield, Texas, to Hosie Johnson Sr. and Rosie Ann Wilkerson. She had a deep love for her family.

Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers—James Richard Talton, Lawerence (Bull) Johnson, and Alvin (Buddy) Johnson—and three sisters, Doralene Rockwell, Bobbie Jean Johnson, and Jeannie Mason. She also mourned the loss of her special niece, Jill Johnson.

She is survived by her sisters, Mickey Easter (James), LouVanna Lewis (John), and Versie Handy, along with five brothers: Melvin Johnson, Hosie Johnson Jr. (Emma), Earnest Ray Johnson (Wren), Tommy Lee Johnson, and Alonzo Johnson Garner. Additionally, she is remembered by her special great-nephew, T’KeVian Rockwell, her cherished niece Pricilla Johnson (known as Poochie), and a multitude of other nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry her memory forward.
