Linda Carol Evans was born on May 18, 1949, in Omaha, Texas, to H.V. and Sarah (Sweets) Evans.
From a young age, she embraced her faith by accepting Christ and became a member of the Mt. Mitchel Church of Christ in Omaha, TX. Eventually, she joined the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Cason, Texas.
Linda completed her education at J.J. Rhodes High School in Daingerfield and later pursued studies at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. She spent the majority of her life in Daingerfield, where she was well-known and loved throughout the Morris County community. Linda had a passion for singing, nurturing her garden year-round, and contributing to her community, dressing up and cooking . Her vibrant spirit and infectious smile lit up any room she entered.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, including three brothers: L.V. Evans, E.V. Evans, and Peter Evans, as well as two sisters: Chestene Reese and Rita Singleton.
Linda is survived by her cherished daughter, Sarah Sunshine Evans, and her three grandchildren: Cherish Newsome, Derick Newsome Jr., and Ethan Evans. She also leaves behind three brothers: Billy E. Evans (Pearlie Mae), Donald Evans (Jackie), and Richard Evans, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will remember her fondly.
