Lovie Marie Finley was born on June 24, 1965, in Atlanta, Texas, to the late Otis and Frankie King. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family.
On December 21, 1984, Lovie married the Rev. Timmie Finley, and together they welcomed three wonderful children into the world. Known for her delicious cooking and her blend of tough love, Lovie also served as a devoted First Lady.
She peacefully departed this life on January 3, 2026, at her home in Marietta, Texas, surrounded by her cherished family.
Lovie leaves behind a loving husband, Rev. Timmie Finley; a daughter, Kamesha Page (Desmond); a son, Tevonrick Finley (Sara); and seven beloved grandchildren: Jayson, Houston, Treyvon, Aniyah, Jordan, Elijah Page and Karter. She is also survived by two sisters, Ladonna Ivery and Cherri Johnson (Harold); a brother, Otis King (Shaunte); a mother-in-law, Mae Finley; three sisters-in-law, Effie Blaylock, Brinda King, and Lutrease Finley; a brother-in-law, Alvis Finley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Finley; her parents, Otis and Frankie King; her sister, Geanette King; two brothers, J’Dion King and Carlos Hall; as well as sister-in-law Glories Finley and brother-in-law Bernard Finley.
