Minnie B. Taylor came into this world on March 25, 1928, born to the late Batton Fields and Rosena Johnson Fields.
In her youth, she found solace at New Zion Baptist Church until her health started to wane.
Minnie Taylor dedicated many years of her life working at Colonial Village in Marshall, Texas. She found joy in fishing, cooking, attending church, and playing bingo.
For 12 beautiful years, Minnie Taylor was happily married to Will Taylor until his passing in 1986.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Will Taylor, Jr., stepdaughter Gladys Taylor, brother Ray Fields, sister Mary D. Wilson, and grandson Shaun Reed.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her dear daughter, Brenda L. Anene, three grandchildren - Samantha, Cotton, Brandy Reed, and Brian Reed, as well as five great-grandchildren - I’Diamond Willie, Aniyia Reed, Taneyha Reed, Samaria Reed, and her cherished great-grandson, Samar Reed, affectionately known as her "Big Man." She is also survived by three stepdaughters - Bertha Moore, Annie Powell, and Ethel Gooch, along with a special nephew, Rondo, and niece Minnie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Linda and Clara, and to Treviso Health Care for their compassionate care and support during her final days.
