Monica Evette Arthur Buchanan was born November 25, 1975 to Evon, Arthur and the late Larry Lewis.
Monica, Attended Longview High School, and graduated in 1995. She later attended Kilgore College, where she inquired her CNA Certificate ocean. Although she had many jobs and wore many hats, her first love was entrepreneurship. She was very creative and talented. Monica used her creativity to make personalized gift baskets.
Monica dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of new Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C., in Mayflower, Texas. She was the program director for the youth department and also served as the choir director for the youth and adults faithfully. Her love for motorcycles lead her to join a few different groups. However, she found her home with Triple (B. C.) W. M. C. M. C.
Monica was proceeded in death by Robert Lewis Davis and her adoptive stepfather; Johnny Ray Smith.
Monica leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband; Emmanuel Lamarques Buchanan, her beautiful daughters; Warniesha Hawkins, Hydea Hawkins (Montrell, Williams), Jah’ Kendra, Arthur, her grandchildren; ARI‘ EST Tatum (6), Arianna Arthur (2), Dah’ Kari Hawkins (3) and Currency Williams (1), her sisters, Shemika Arthur Richardson (Ricky Wheat), Sherry Lyna Davis, Scheketa Cook, Falina Wright, Katrina Macon (Charles), Ka’Shunnya Washington, brothers; Velton Arthur (Victoria) and Dino DaVinci Wright (Vickie), aunts; Velma Williams (Lee), Irene Whitten (Dan) and a very special mother figure, Gentrie Horton and a host of nieces and nephews.
