Patricia Ann Hambrick Woods, affectionately known as ‘Pat’ or ‘Ann,’ graced the world with her vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness from November 12, 1951, until her peaceful departure on January 9, 2026. Born in LaRue, Texas, to the late Champion Hambrick and Erma Jean Brown, Patricia’s journey through life was marked by deep compassion and an extraordinary love for others.
Educated at Central High School and later Brownsboro High School in Moore Station, Texas, Patricia found a spiritual home at Antioch Baptist Church in Chandler. Her faith and dedication were evident in every aspect of her life, especially in her long and fulfilling career in healthcare. With a nurturing spirit, she dedicated herself to helping those in need, ultimately retiring from Trinity Mother Frances Care in Tyler, Texas.
Patricia embodied kindness; her sweet and gentle demeanor created a haven for all who crossed her path. A gifted cook, she cherished family gatherings, always ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and loved. She had a unique ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger and always extending her heart to those around her.
Her legacy continues through her three beloved sons: Demetric Woods (Angela) and Christopher Woods (Erica), both of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Kenneth Woods (Alecia) of Chandler, Texas. She is also survived by her cherished brother, Alphonso Hambrick of Tyler, Texas, and sister, Barbara Davis of Athens, Texas. Patricia's warmth will live on in the hearts of her 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Kenneth Woods, Sr., and her beloved parents, sisters, Daisy Warren,Christine Mcllenzie and Alfreida Johnson, and brothers, Vertis and Charles Hambrick. Patricia will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered. The love and support of family and friends have been a source of comfort during this time of sorrow, a testament to the enduring spirit of an extraordinary woman who radiated love and joy.
As we celebrate Patricia’s life, we are grateful for the memories she has left behind and the light she brought into the world.
