Mr. Royal (Roy) Lee Horsley was born March 15, 1943 in Linden Texas, to Odis Lee Horsley and Lunnie B. Horsley.
Throughout his years Roy worked at Lonestar Steel and for the Rail Road company. At his core, Roy was a “countryman”, who loved being outdoors. One of his hobbies was working from time to time doing yard work. He eventually turned his hobby into a lawn care business. He primarily enjoyed doing it so much because it gave him the opportunity to meet new people.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Richard Horsley and Michael Hartfield, one daughter; Bernetchia Solomon, three brothers; OB, Johnny Lee, Connie Dee Horsley, two sisters; Vivian Hatten, Lessie Bingham.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son; Terry (Debra) Lafayette of Lone Star, Texas, three daughters; Regina Horsley of Dallas, Texas, Rojean (Darren) Land of De Soto, Texas and Sekeitha (Jamal) Jones of Richardson, Texas, five sisters; Diane (E.C.) Morrow of Pittsburgh, Texas, Juanita (Late Charles) Verge of Dallas,Texas, Louise (Roger) Nelson of Kennewick, Washington, Govella Abron of Arlington, Texas and Jean Carlisle of Dallas, Texas, eight grand children; Tyterrius (Ty) Lafayette of Frisco, Texas, Brandon Horsley of Dallas Texas, Brittany (Neil) Grogan of Nolanville, Texas, Shaquille and Sanaa Jones Richardson, Texas, Chris (Seferina) Mercedes Johnson of Daingerfield, Texas, Brittany Hartfield of Hughes, Springs Texas and Alaster Johnson of Dallas Texas, fourteen great grandchildren; Kailani and India Horsley of Dallas, Texas, Michael Titus, Sarai and Zion Grogan of Nolanville, Texas, Lyric, Londyn, Zoey Chase, Tre and Mason Johnson of Daingerfield, Texas and Harper and Hendrix Johnson of Dallas, Texas and many very special people; Florence Johnson, Sherry Buchnan, Byron and Reginald Hatten and a host of special nieces nephews step kids relatives and friends.
