Samuel Reese Jr. was born on June 14, 1976, in Longview, TX into a world that would soon be graced by his radiant spirit. The son of Alvia and John D. Reese, he carried their legacy of kindness and warmth throughout his life. Samuel was the father, of Jaylon, Brontavian and Samuel. His laughter echoed through family gatherings, and his infectious smile could light up the darkest days. He was a man who danced through life, celebrating every moment with joy. Yet, he faced the shadows of loss and heartbreaking departure of his beloved son Jaylon, grandson Kegan, and daughter Shatoria alongside four brothers, two uncles and two aunts.
Those fortunate enough to know Samuel experienced the profound depth of his compassion. He was a kind soul, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of wisdom. Whether it was a neighbor in need or a friend facing challenges, Samuel went above and beyond, embodying the spirit of generosity. He leaves to mourn his two aunts, Helen Oliver and Catherine Mayfield, along with his brother Coletieus Reese (Nick) and seven sisters; Dora Thomas, Carolyn Boyd (Alvin), Ellastein Champion, Vanessa Reliford (Wayne), Detra Parker (Llyod), Gaynell Deckard, Lisa Barrier (Calvin) formed a close-knit family that celebrated life together. Additionally he leaves behind two sons, Samuel T. Reese and Brontavian Reese, along with three granddaughters—Jehlani, Kyleigh, and Jamara—and two grandson, Kyngstyn and Jakari. Samuel's very special friend, Audrey Perry, along with his extended family, will forever hold him close in their hearts. Though he has departed from this world, his glowing presence will remain a guiding light for all who loved him. Samuel Reese Jr. may have left this earthly realm, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to resonate, reminding us to cherish every moment and dance through life with joy.
