Stephanie Manns Obituary

Stephanie Yolanda Key-Manns, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at UT Tyler hospital on August 15, 2024, after a long battle with sickle cell anemia. Stephanie was lovingly cared for by her mother’s friend and neighbor Linda Manson Jones during her early years.

Stephanie Yolanda Key-Manns was born to the late Callen Ann Key and Lorenzo Buchanan on January 25, 1974, in Longview, Texas.

Stephanie was a graduate of Longview High School and later R&L Enterprise College at Miracle Tabernacle House of Prayer Church. Her faith journey began at a young age, leading her to become a dedicated member of various churches in Longview and Tyler, where she found joy in singing in the choir and serving as an Usher.

Stephanie’s Christian journey began at an early age when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and became a member of The Hughes Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Longview, TX where she sang in the choir and was on the Usher board. Later in her young adult life she became a member of Miracle Tabernacle House of Prayer in Longview, TX. As her life progressed, she moved her membership to the Kingdom Church of Tyler, TX. She loved to praise the Lord and serve God, as time went by Stephanie met and married the joy of her life Joe Lee Manns in 1996, and later extended her lovely family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, serving as their unwavering support system.

She was preceded in death by her Brother; Darrell (Alicia), and Sister; Tammy, Grandmother; Charlie Mae Key, Great-grandfather; Charlie Key, Great-grandmother; Zadie Key, God-brother and LaMarcus J. Hopson, Aunts; Bobbie Fagan, Lorine, Uncles; James Gregory Alford (Bobbie) Jerry Johnson, Great Uncle; Great Uncle, Willie J. Key (WJ).

She is survived by her precious children; Braysheuna Key (Chase), of Longview, Dontarious Key (Shavala) Malakoff, K’Shaunti Baygus (Michael, Sr.), of Dallas, and  Dalvin Manns (Hannah), Grandchildren; Vinny, Jeremiah, Bre’Asia, Daisey, Jai’Lynn, Michael, Jr., Myron, LaNiya, Layla, Rosaleigh, Everleigh, and Baylor, Sisters; LaShonda Buchanan, Marchicola Johnson, RoShaunda Johnson, Kayla Weatherall (Vincient), Charlene Lilly, God-Sister; Travonda Hopson-Bradley (John), Brothers; Darrell Jackson (Alicia), Antony Hopson, Sr. (Audrey), Brother-in-law; Chris Manns, Timothy Manns, Timothy Manns (Michelle), Keith Manns (Laura), Sister-in-law; Nicole Caldwell, Mother-in-law; Marvel Roach, Aunts; Grace Carter, Florene Mayfield, Terri Johnson, Marchicola Johnson, Uncles; Roscoe Johnson.

Stephanie's warmth, love, and faith will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
