Virginia Ann Jones Crawford, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by compassion and service. For over 20 years, she worked faithfully as a caregiver in home health, offering comfort and support to countless individuals and families. Beyond her profession, Virginia was known for her nurturing spirit, helping to raise many of her nieces and nephews with love and dedication.
She is survived by her husband, James Crawford; two adopted sons, Tadarrian Craver and DeMarcus Gilstrap; two sisters, Linda Williams and Janice (Lloyd) Johnson; a special sister, Marise Banks; three brothers, William Jones, Curtis Jones, and Kelvin Jones; a special niece, Delimeisha Jones; her beloved aunt, Bessie Faye King; and a devoted cousin and caregiver, Barbara King. Virginia also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who were blessed by her kindness and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Sr. and Hazel Jones; one sister, Ruthie Jones Brown; three brothers, Melvin Jones Jr., Ronnie Ray Jones Sr., and Thomas Jones; and a special brother, Jimmy "Buckle" Lawton.
Virginia's strength, gentle heart, and unwavering care for others will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love will continue to live on in all those she helped raise and all who were fortunate to know her. Special thank you to Focus Care and Cypress Basin Hospice.
