On August 16, 1929, the Lord blessed Lee King Sr. and Bessie King of Naples, Texas with a beautiful daughter and they named her Wilma Virginia.
Wilma confessed her faith in Christ at a very early age at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years until her health began to fail. She was born in Naples, Texas and in her leisure, she enjoyed cooking and baking to bring joy unto others.
Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, R.J. Johnson, parents; Lee and Bessie King, four sisters; Classy Mae, Maddi, Cledell and two brothers; Lee Jr. and Herman.
Those she left to cherish her loving memories: a sister, Hazel Porter of Naples, TX, four nieces; Bessie Dacus of Dallas, TX, Wanda Daniels of Ft. Worth, TX, Debra Porter (Vivian) of Longview, TX, Gina Brown (who she raised as her daughter) of California, two grandchildren; Paul and Brandy, two nephews; Larry King of Houston, TX, and Kerry King of San Antonio, TX, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
